A leading M&A practice. Kahn Partners founders have handled over 100 mergers & acquisitions, strategic combinations and partnerships, and defining corporate structure changes.
We advise clients on transactions in a variety of industries, and have particular experience in handling M&A transactions for companies in regulated industries where the intersection of business and government requires an integrated strategy for handling the many issues that arise in such transactions. Our M&A experience, coupled with deep industry knowledge, enables us to advise on a wide variety of transactions and to provide comprehensive and innovative solutions to all our clients.
A distinctive value-add in cross border M&A transactions. The setting is when the buyer is established in Europe and acquires a business in the United States, or when a US-based buyer purchases a company in Europe. When we represent the U.S. buyer of a company in Europe, we structure the transaction as we would for a U.S. domestic acquisition and we most often manage to have New York law govern the structure and mechanics, as well as the pre- and post-closing obligations and risks. When we represent a European buyer, we have particular experience at familiarizing the client with U.S. type mergers & acquisitions, and we help our client negotiate and navigate the transaction with the same or better level of confidence and performance than its U.S. counterpart.

One of the particular strengths of Kahn Partners is our ability to address our clients’ evolving strategic needs: from joint ventures to spin offs or changes in our client’s capital, we make our experience available to our clients and help them navigate these often critical changes, while protecting or increasing the value of their enterprise. Our advice is critical to achieve continuity in changes, a goal that is different from that in mergers & acquisitions and is fully understood by our firm.
